Exercise can revive energy lost at work and keeps the mind calm and refreshes your thinking skill for a much clearer judgments on your working skills. Do exercises regularly.

SIMPLE WORKOUTS DURING WORK BREAK

This fast pace lifestyle forces one to work hard and even more hours to spend. You spend one-third or more of your day at work, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend that time without exercise. Knowing a few simple guides will help you fill your days with efficient workout breaks that not only keep you fit but can also relieve you from stress or anxiety of work.

Hints to Keep on Track

  • Anyone who just started a new exercise routine knows that half of the battle is just getting oneself to cling with it. Try some of these tips to keep yourself on track. Kick off with your first step be a minute or two walking. If your workplace or office is at the second or third floor try to use the stairs. Get off the bus, one stop earlier.
  • Use small space in your schedule – in-between meetings or appointments – try to stretch your limbs or do simple exercises.
  • Join a workout club. This gives one reasonable excuse to leave the office at a sensible time.
  • When traveling on business, choose wisely on staying in hotels that have workout facilities.

Activity Reminder

People exercise regularly when there is always an activity cues. Find an efficient reminder.

  • Wear a watch with a beeper or alarm your mobile phone on your schedule.
  • Write a note on your desk calendar or post-it.
  • Put a note to yourself on your bag.
  • Ask a friend or co-worker to remind you at a certain time.

Break Time for Exercise

Think that exercise on break time from your work day not as a task. The following simple exercises and stretches you can do on your desk to stretches out those stiff muscles. You can add or delete exercise that is suitable to your own needs.

  • Neck exercise: This exercise is very easy and flexible at all times. You can do it sitting on your work chair or at the lobby. This neck stretches is an excellent reliever of the day’s tension of work. Imagine the four times at the clock. Turn your head slowly to the left looking at 3 o’clock: turn your head slowly at the right looking at 9 o’clock; then return to the facing straight position. Turn your head upward looking at 12 o’clock and turn your head slowly downward looking at 6 o’clock; repeat three time and you can feel the stretch in your neck muscles.
  • Shoulder Motions: Hunch you shoulders, moving them upward, rotate them forward, down, back and up to the ears again. Do this very slowly then reverse the movements, and repeat three times. This eliminates the stiffness and relaxes your shoulders.

  • Shoulder Stretch: At a standing position, reach behind you and grasp your hands behind your back. With your hands tightly linked, lift your hands as high without strain. You can now feel the stretch in front of your shoulders.
  • Reaching the Stars: Stretch your arms as high as if you are trying to reach the stars. Stand or remain seated as you reach up with our left arm, then with the right, stretching up as far as comfortably can but don’t strain. This stretches the arm muscles.

  • Lock Arm Stretch: Bring your left arm as high as your shoulder, bend and push the arm by your right hand going to your neck, hold for 10 counts. Repeat on the other arm. Repeat three times and experience the stretches from shoulders and arms. You can do this even sitting down.
  • Reach Your Back Stretch: Raise your left arm high reaching to your back or you can push backward more with the help of your right hand. Do not strain. Repeat on each arm three times. You can do this sitting down or standing up.
  • Again, always remember when doing stretches not to strain your muscles. Move only as far as is comfortably for you.
