Doing Activities That Won't Break Your Back

Random thinking is now an activity. Planned thinking like the kind that I do, I like to consider as an activity and especially during the long and sometimes dark days of Winter, planned thinking can be exhilarating or cathartic. I think by finding a quiet place in my house. I give myself a problem and sit

Winter is a great time to begin to do activities that will make you feel better, look better, act better and live better.  Depending, on where you live, you might like to do my favorite winter activity which s shoveling snow.  I like to clear up the snow that seems to pile up in front of my garage door and maybe clear up a path to the back yard before I call a professional to shovel the rest of the snow.  I like shoveling snow because it stimulates my heart.  I can, actually, feel my heart begin to beat louder just by the second or third shovelful of snow.  Of course, not all of us have the pleasure of living in a snow possible climate.  I, also, like to put the heat in the house to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, don lightweight clothing and vacuum the entire house from top to bottom.

You might be thinking that all of my free winter activities center around work.  That is, what, basically, I consider free winter activities, doing work for myself.  We would have to pay to have snow shovelled or carpets vacuumed if we didn't do it for ourselves.  In the same way, I also like to go bowling, swim in an indoor pool, and find a good poker game during the winter, but all of those activities cost money.  To do free winter activities, you should think like I do.  I do my own laundry, I do my own cooking, and I do my own thinking.  That is the best free winter activity that can be done wherever you are on Earth.  If you think that thinking won't effect a change in your physical conditioning it is because you haven't been doing much thinking.  Much like shovelling snow or vacuuming rugs, thinking needs practice and concentration.

Random thinking is now an activity.  Planned thinking like the kind that I do, I like to consider as an activity and especially during the long and sometimes dark days of Winter, planned thinking can be exhilarating or cathartic. I think by finding a quiet place in my house.  I give myself a problem and sit until my mind has formulated a solution to the problem.  I can choose a real problem or, and this is much better, I can imagine a fake problem.  My mind is forced to come up with a solution.  If I become frustrated, I will not allow myself to drop my problem.

That is the condition of planned thinking, a great Winter activity that will have you alert and active the rest of the day.  I like activities that stimulate my mind and my body.  I feel better when my mind keeps up with my physical stimulation.  I think that people who focus on the physical and assume that the mental will take care of themselves become easily violent and lack the self control that comes only with an activated mental control which is the best part of a balanced mind and body.  I do think that Winter which makes us more likely to look for warm and quiet settings is the best time to do activities that will balance my control of body and  mind.
